Abstract. The article discusses the problems of elimination of the Chinese speakers’ foreign accent when pronouncing the Russian nasal consonants. Typical features of pronunciation of the Russian and Chinese nasal consonants are analysed. Similarities and differrences between the Russian and Chinese nasal consonants in different positions are identified. Causes of deviations in this area are revealed. Relying on the findings, the author offers methodological recommendations to improve pronunciation of the Russian nasal consonants in the foreign audience.
