Abstract. The paper reveals the genre-forming features of the "analytical article" genre. This type of text is characterized differently in foreign and domestic linguistics, however, despite national and cultural specificity, it reveals common features. By its nature, the "analytical article" is an objective genre aimed at informing readers, but under the influence of political discourse there is an increase in the subjective component, and, as a result, in the impacting function. This double nature of the genre is represented in linguistic means used by the author.
Key words and phrases: аналитическая статья, информативная функция, воздействующая функция, политический дискурс, фактологичность, оценочность, analytical article, informative function, impacting function, political discourse, factual character, evaluative character
