TEXT-ORGANIZING AND AXIOLOGICAL POTENTIALS OF COLOUR TERMS IN THE GERMAN FICTION TEXT (BASED ON K. MODICK’S NOVEL "KONZERT OHNE DICHTER")

Abstract. The article is devoted to the identification of the axiological and text-organizing potentials of colour terms by the material of K. Modick’s novel "Konzert ohne Dichter". The work has an interdisciplinary character; it is written at the intersection of axiological linguistics and literary criticism, involving data from cognitive linguistics and psychology of colour. K. Modick’s novel-bestseller as a representative of the modern German fiction prose is analysed for the first time. The author reveals the colours appearing in the novel, and the means of their verbalization, demonstrates how colour terms structure the text and how they relate to values.
