COMPETENCE-BASED APPROACH IN EDUCATION AS A NECESSARY CONDITION FOR PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS WITHIN HIGHER SCHOOL

Abstract. The article is devoted to one of the priority areas in the Russian education modernisation: transition from the knowledge paradigm to the competence-based one. The authors analyse the evolution of the competence notion in education and consider in detail the methodological basis for the competence-based approach developed in the framework of the European project ‘Tuning’. By the example of the ‘Business English + Knowledge Management’ educational project implemented by the authors, practical importance of using a single training complex that combines the methodology of the competence-based approach and digital technology in the process of acquiring professional competences by students is proved.
