PECULIARITIES OF THE STANDARD SWISS GERMAN PRONUNCIATION ON THE SWISS TV

Abstract. The article is devoted to the relevant problem of describing ethno-territorial peculiarities of the German language. To identify differential features of the Swiss Standard German, the authors have conducted a research based on the Swiss TV programs. The analysis has allowed identifying typical for the standard pronunciation peculiarities of vowel and consonant articulation, accentuation and intonation. The paper presents the results of a descriptive and auditory analysis of standard pronunciation on the Swiss TV.
