ORNAMENT OF "BIRD'S PAW" IN THE ARTICLES OF THE LIFE OF KOMI (ZYRIANS)

Abstract. In the article the ornament of the bird's paw in the articles of the life of Komi-Zyrians is considered, particularly on traditional pottery, in pattern knitting and fur mosaic. The researcher concludes that the given ornament had initially been given not only decorative functions, but also performed the functions of property signs and amulet functions.
