THE ICON PAINTING OF CHEREPOVETS AREAL OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE XVIITH-XVIIIRD CENTURIES

Abstract. The article is devoted to the icon painting of Cherepovets areal of the second half of the XVII^th-XVIII^rd centuries. The study of this problem has been started recently. The ancient painting of Cherepovets Resurrection cloister with the small local centers around it can be regarded as the particular historical and artistic areal of the Russian North.
