TERRITORIALITY AND EXTERRITORIALITY AS TWO PRINCIPLES OF AUTHORITY FUNCTIONING

Abstract. The article is devoted to the specificity of considering authority and state phenomena in I. Wallerstein and his followers' school of world-system analysis. The contraposition of territorial and capitalistic authority strategies allowed the researchers of this school creating the original theory of macro-social changes overcoming linear-phased approach to history in Marxism and classical theories of modernization.
