A. F. LOSEV AND CORPUS AREOPAGITICUM: ORTHODOX ANGELOLOGY QUESTIONS

Abstract. The article considers the problem of the succession between Dionysius the Areopagite's theological writings and A. F. Losev's philosophical heritage. Special attention is paid to the questions of Orthodox angelology the traditions of which go back to the treatise About Celestial Hierarchies. The conclusion is made that in Losev's conception medieval mystic-symbolic Areopagite's ideas got deep dialectic-philosophical substantiation and logical orderliness.
