RUSSIAN STATE NAVAL ARMED FORCES PERFECTION DURING MILITARY REFORMS (1862-1914)

Abstract. The article tackles one of the most important problems of Russian naval forces development in the second half of the XIXth - the beginning of the XXth centuries, notably the process of fleet rearmament with new fighting ships. The author reflects the new fleet creation process itself; describes new ships performance characteristics; designates the problems which the Admiralty had to face in connection with new ships construction, particularly, limited financing. New ships types introduction results are considered by the example of Russia's wars with Turkey and Japan.
