RUSSIA AND EUROPE IN THE DISCUSSION OF RUSSIAN LIBERALS OF THE XIXTH CENTURY

Abstract. The article is devoted to considering the problems of European society achievements adaptation to the Russian reality of the XIXth century. The author shows the combination of the ideas about reformism and freedom with the conservative ideas about the importance of patriarchal foundations and succession in the history of Russia by the example of P. Ya. Chaadaev and K. D. Kavelin's creative works.
