CORRELATION OF RELIGION AND SCIENCE IN THE CULTURE OF THE XXTH CENTURY

Abstract. The author analyses the difficult and contradictory interrelations of religion and science in the European culture, makes the conclusion that the designated problem was connected with science criticism and scientific rationality by the thinkers of the XXth century, pays special attention to the religious-philosophical criticism of scientific rationality. The concept of the religious philosopher of the XXth century, the priest P. A. Florenskii, in whose conception science is the result of religion development which contains the deep idea about the absence of the confrontation between science and religion plays special role in the solution of the problem about the correlation of religion and science.
