REGION IMAGE IN SOCIAL-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION: FORMATION AND TRANSLATION FEATURES (BY THE EXAMPLE OF CHELYABINSK REGION)

Abstract. The author considers the processes of the creation and translation of region image from the point of view of information-semiotic approach and pays special attention to the values on which region image is based which is translated in social-cultural communication. The initiators of a region image creation and its target audiences are analyzed by the example of Chelyabinsk region. The author researches the messages and channels involved in the process of region image translation and considers feedback forms.
