Abstract. The author analyzes the peculiarities of the qualification of the crimes connected with the carriage of drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues, considers the basic carriage methods and existing difficulties in law enforcement practice concerning the classification of these legally defined crimes and makes suggestions on the perfection of penal legislation in the sphere of illegal drug trafficking.
