Abstract. The author considers the problem of social future in the context of different social-synergetic conceptions. First, he analyzes the diapason of the possible solutions of determinism problem as a whole and historical determinism in particular assumed by synergetics. Then the author presents the critical analysis of V. P. Branskii and A. P. Nazaretyan's social-synergetic conceptions and also Yu. M. Lotman's historical-semiotic conception which is also based on synergetic development model. In conclusion he speaks about the limits of applying synergetic development model to history, about social synergetics potential and limits.
