Abstract. The author presents one of the elements of traditional ethnic culture - western Siberian song tradition of late formation - as a system and pays special attention to the backbone features of western Siberian song culture formed under the influence of natural-geographic, historical-social, demographic and confessional factors and also the mutual adaptation of the heterogeneous elements of the folk-song systems of European Russia.
