Abstract. The author undertakes the attempt to recreate the rich genealogical tree of the Kudryavtsevs' priestly generation from the XVIIIth till the end of the XIXth century. Priests often acted as pioneers in various fields of human activity demonstrating remarkable, versatile talents and high professional skills. The Kudryavtsevs were not an exception, their family was rich in spiritual interests and poor in respect to material comforts and needs. The ancient priestly generations are our national foundation and spiritual grounds and the more we refer to them the deeper the comprehension of our spiritual and historical traditions is.
