Abstract. The author considers the problem of Russian regional security strategy formation within the framework of national-wide state security ensuring as well as the main approaches to regional security phenomenon understanding with regard to the Russian Federation political-territorial organization specific features and suggests the strategy of Russian regions security formation taking into account economic, environmental, legal, geopolitical and other conditions.
