INTERPRETATIONS AMBIVALENCE OF HOLIDAY GENDER TRADITIONS AS CULTURE TEXT

Abstract. The author considers the phenomenon of holiday, its symbolic-semantic content in the context of social-cultural reality; analyzes gender expectations and the symbolic representations of masculine and feminine in holiday culture under the conditions of historically formed gender hierarchic polarization.
