Abstract. The author studies the phenomenon of the Circassian (Kabardian, Cherkess, Adyghe) peasantry's protest behaviour in the period of soviet social-political system institutional formation and considers the forms of protest behaviour, its objectives and concrete results, the features of the Circassians' social-political views and the gender aspects of the Circassian peasantry's protest activity.
