SYMBOLISM OF NUMBERS ONE, TWO, THREE IN "EPISTLE ABOUT PARADISE" BY VASILII KALIKA

Abstract. The author reveals the features of Christian numerical symbolism use in "Epistle about Paradise" by Novgorod archbishop Vasilii Kalika, shows the purposeful and conscious use of numbers one, two and three, which sacred meaning is manifested both at semantic and structural levels, and tells that the symbolic meaning of numbers reveals the subtext of "Epistle" theme, devoted to the question of earth and mental paradise existence.
