CONSERVATIVES AND THE PROBLEM OF WOMEN ADMISSION TO WORK IN THE BRITISH HOUSE OF LORDS IN THE 1920S

Abstract. The author considers for the first time in native historiography the problem of women admission to work in the second chamber of the British Parliament, and analyzes the relevant legislative initiatives and the Conservative Party position on this question in the 1920s.
