Abstract. The authors discuss Winston Churchill's political argumentation contradictoriness by the example of his actions with regard to the British troops' expedition to Siberia during 1918-1919. The recent disclosure of the documents concerning the relations of the British Prime Minister Lloyd George with the known arms dealer Basileios Zacharias makes clearer the motives of Winston Churchill's inconsistency in the question of Britain actions in Russia, which became the reason for his criticism by political opponents in the future. The publication may be of interest both to historians, political scientists and specialists in the theory of argumentation and its practical applications.
