PARTY-POLITICAL STRUGGLE ON THE PROBLEM OF LIFE PEERAGE ACT DEVELOPMENT IN THE 1950S

Abstract. The author considers the Conservatives' party-political struggle with opposition parties on the question of life peerage draft law development at the beginning of the 1950s, and analyzes the views of the country main political forces on the problem of House of Lords activity effectiveness enhancement.
