TRADE UNION ORGANIZATION ACTIVITY MAIN DIRECTIONS AT STALINGRAD METALLURGICAL PLANT KRASNYI OKTYABR IN THE 30S OF THE XXTH CENTURY

Abstract. The authors consider the main directions of trade union organization activity at the plant Krasnyi Oktyabr' (in Stalingrad) against the background of the changes in trade union organizations work within the USSR in the 30s of the ХХth century, analyze the essential changes in trade unions functions, determine their reasons and consequences, and show that trade unions created at the beginning of the ХХth century as mass scale professional organizations to protect workers' rights changed into the transmission belts of the party under administrative-command system conditions.
