DISTRICT VOIVODE ADMINISTRATION ORGANIZATION WITHIN CHUVASHIA IN THE XVIIITH CENTURY

Abstract. The author considers the structure, functions and activity of district voivode chancelleries within Chuvashia in 1727-1781, pays special attention to the aspects of administrative, fiscal-financial, judicial, police and other competences concentration in voivodes' charge as well as town officials' controlled status; and discusses rural community self-administration and clergy representatives' involvement in the system of voivode power.
