TAMBOV REGION KOMSOMOL PARTICIPATION IN VIRGIN LANDS RECLAMATION

Abstract. The authors generalize the experience of Tambov region Komsomol members, who participated in virgin and fallow lands reclamation in the 1950s, substantiate that ordinary virgin landers do not deserve the slightest reproach, young guys and girls' labour can be called a feat as they left organized towns and villages, the improved way of life and went to reclamate bare steppe; and at the same time show that this method of grain problem solution in the country needs reconsideration.
