STATEHOOD AND PATRIOTISM IDEAS IN THEOPHAN PROKOPOVICH'S CREATIVE WORK

Abstract. The author reminds that the XVIIIth century in Russian culture was the period of one of the greatest approaches to western norms, mentions that new state ideology and state religion appeared under Peter I, which theoretical substantiation was created by the monarch's companion-in-arms Theophan Prokopovich, and studies the ideas of statehood and patriotism in the creative work of the outstanding hierarch within the framework of the problem of determining social-cultural value orientations in the national culture of the XVIIIth century.
