MAURICE DURUFLE'S REQUIEM: TRAITS TO THE COMPOSER'S CREATIVE PORTRAIT

Abstract. The article is devoted to the central composition of the outstanding French composer and organist of the XXth century Maurice Durufle - Requiem, ор. 9. The author covers the facts from the composition creation history, considers the peculiarities of authorial versions, gives information about the premiere performances of Requiem, and, broader, the concert fate of the composition for the first time in native music studies, reveals Requiem cyclic regularities, and the composer's work methods with the specified source, including the classification ofcantus prius factus implementation ways in Requiem musical text.
