Abstract. The author analyzes the features of the national policy formation and development in Russia, considers the measures that are undertaken for the improvement of cross-national relations, pays special attention to the study of modernization processes in Russia, because they are inextricably connected with the national policy, and emphasizes the importance of cross-national concord for Russia as a multi-national and multi-confessional country.
