Abstract. The article considers the range of questions associated with Orthodox asceticism and its features, the limits of natural asceticism, and also the body as an integral part of the individual. In this aspect, attitude to the body in line with Orthodox ascetic tradition is considered. Special attention is paid to the quality and value of bodily ascetics in Orthodox asceticism. The article also considers the question of ascetic exercises limits.
