MALFEASANCES DURING GRAIN PROCUREMENT CRISIS OF 1927/28 IN URAL REGION

Abstract. The article researches the malfeasances of the Ural region officials during the grain procurement crisis of 1927/28. The failure to comply with unrealistic plans as well as power abuse while pressuring farmers were qualified as a malfeasance. By the example of the Ural region the article analyzes, how the repressive law enforcement practice of the Soviet state allowed solving urgent economic tasks during crisis situations.
