MORDOVIAN COMMUNITY ROLE IN SOCIAL-POLITICAL SYSTEM OF RUSSIAN STATE IN THE XVII TH – AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XVIII TH CENTURY

Abstract. The article considers the mechanism of the interaction between the government and the community of Mordovia. The author determines the functions and position of the community in the social-political system of the Russian state in the XVII th-XVIII th centuries. Its role as a social tool that allows reconciling to a certain extent the interests of the Russian state and the people of Mordovia is analyzed by numerous archival materials.
