EXPERIENCE OF PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARCHITECTURAL ENSEMBLES OF SQUARES IN SIBERIAN CITIES (THE SECOND HALF OF THE XX TH CENTURY)

Abstract. The author analyzes the experience of the planning and construction of the architectural ensembles of squares in Siberian cities in the second half of the ХХ th century, reveals the regularity of historical building during the postwar period, which became an example of purposeful architectural policy, focused at the formation of a city main arterial highways and squares, and considers the social-administrative squares of Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Omsk, Barnaul, Biisk, and Zmeinogorsk that perform the functions of a public city center.
