POLITICAL PROTEST AS POLITICAL SYSTEM INSTABILITY FACTOR

Abstract. The author reveals the main approaches to the definition of political protest as a form of participation, states that only certain types of political protest have a destabilizing impact on political system functioning, which is, in particular, manifested in active and instrumental form, and as political protests potential factors in transition systems emphasizes the inefficiency of the authorities’ power, the high activity of anti-elite, the presence of ethnic and religious dissidences in the society.
