Abstract. The author considers the essential features of consciousness manipulation as the phenomenon that is present in all spheres of public life, analyzes the reasons of the multiplicity of approaches to the consideration of manipulation problem, and pays particular attention to overcoming strictly positive or negative assessment one-sidedness of manipulation functions.
