Abstract. The author analyzes archaism manifestations in the Russian social-cultural process, undertakes an attempt to reveal the reasons of the constant presence and actions of this phenomenon while trying to modernize the Russian reality, emphasizes the manifestation of archaism tendencies in all spheres of the Russian society, comes to the conclusion about archaism factor significance to the life of modern Russia, and asserts the necessity to take into consideration the features of the Russian regions in the implementation of administrative influence with the purpose to modernize the economic, social and political spheres of the society.
