S. I. HESSEN’S PEDAGOGICAL LEGACY

Abstract. The author presents the main propositions of S. I. Hessen’s pedagogical legacy – the scientist, turned to Russia, its culture, education and history, reveals the correlation between philosophy and pedagogy, the anthropological interpretation of the personality’s structure, on the basis of which gives education understanding, characterizes S. I. Hessen’s didactic conception that forms a part of his philosophical-pedagogical beliefs: education, education objectives, teaching methods, lesson, and pays attention to the connection between pedagogy and school practice.
