EVERYDAY SYMBOLISM OF ORNITHOMORPHIC ARTIFACTS IN THE EASTERN SLAVS’ DAILY SOCIAL-CULTURAL REALITY

Abstract. The author analyzes the problem of the symbolic potential of everyday objects with ornithomorphic symbolism in the Slavs’ traditional material culture, gives her own definition of the "ornithomorphic artifact", against the background of reconstructing the mythopoetic picture of the world considers the questions of the ornithomorphic artifact functioning in the culture of the archaic man’s everyday life, and compares the semantic meanings of ancient artifacts and modern objects with bird symbolism.
