Abstract. The article is devoted to the issues of Komsomol organization functioning in Pskov province in the 1920s. The author reveals the factors that influenced the successfulness of Komsomol cultural-enlightening and political-popular work. On the basis of the analysis of size dynamics of provincial youth union, its political-enlightening institutions condition the degree of mass association active and conscious participation in the region social-political and socio-cultural life is determined.
