COMMISSION ON STUDY OF "OLD MOSCOW" AND ATTEMPTS OF ESTABLISHMENT OF MUSEUM OF OLD MOSCOW IN 1909-1918

Abstract. The article is devoted to the attempts of establishment in Moscow in 1909-1918 of Museum of Old Moscow and the participation in this process of the Commission "Old Moscow". On the basis of the materials of the Commission the author concludes that just the activity of the "Old Moscow" though it was not always consistent in this direction led as a result to the foundation of the museum and subsequently after its closing to the replenishment of the collections of the State Historical Museum.
