LOGIC OF SCIENTIFIC ARGUMENTATION: TERMS AND "LINGUISTIC TRAPS"

Opolev Pavel Valer'evich
Siberian State Automobile and Highway Academy

Abstract. Terminology influences greatly scientific argumentation promoting the formation and development of a specific style of scientific thinking. Scientific terms not only represent the specifics of the culture of thinking of an epoch (and in many ways support it) but also set limits to scientific search as far as they face with the necessity to describe new phenomena by means of old terminological system. The article justifies the thesis that logical and semantic sterility is destructive for science and does not secure its development and interdisciplinary integration.
