COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF MODERNIZATION IN RUSSIA AND CHINA (MODERN PERIOD)

Abstract. The goals of the article are as follows: to make a comparative analysis of modernization in Russia and in China, to justify a thesis that social modernization is a contradictory process accompanied by the revaluation of values and requiring continuous adaptation; to reveal common and specific features of the modern state of the process of modernization in these countries. The paper justifies the necessity for the powerful ideological and theoretical foundation of modernization and concludes that sociocultural factor is of great importance - successful modernization is impossible in isolation from cultural and historical origins.
