Abstract. The phenomenon of one universal musical-syntactical structure existence within the territory of the northern part of Volga-Tereshka interfluve is covered in the article. Song semantics is coordinated with the system of traditional ideas about the symbolism of family and calendar rites and ritual actions accompanying them. On the basis of musical-ethnographic materials fixed during the period of 1980-2013 an attempt is undertaken to recreate the system of tradition translation.
