Abstract. This research introduces the furniture suite designed according to the project of architect Montferrand in 1827-1828 into scientific circulation. The suite was designed for the Oval Hall of the Winter Palace. After the fire in 1837, architect A. Briullov used the furniture again in the front interiors of the palace. Today the furniture is in the collection of the State Hermitage. The article describes the history of the suite creation, the materials and construction of items, as well as the stylistic features of the furniture items and their correlation with architecture.
