ORIGINS OF HUMANISM IN EARLY GREEK PHILOSOPHY

Abstract. The article is devoted to the issue of humanistic ideas origin in the Greek philosophy. The historical time is limited by the earliest period of philosophy existence in ancient Greece up to Socrates included. The meaning of Socrates precursors’ views for making the philosophical basis of his doctrine is revealed. Socrates’s contribution to the humanistic orientation of the Greek philosophy is emphasized. The initial stage of the Greek idea evolution in the direction of forming humanistic key points for the following development of western philosophy is shown for the first time.
