HISTORICAL PREREQUISITES OF ISRAEL MODERN DIPLOMACY WITH REGARD TO COMMONWEALTH OF INDEPENDENT STATES (CIS) AND BALTIC COUNTRIES

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the historically formed factors, which have influenced the modern foreign policy course of the State of Israel with regard to the CIS and Baltic countries. The application experience of the Israeli foreign policy conceptions in the past and under current conditions is analyzed. The attempt was made to trace the transformation of the situation with the Jewish communities in the former Soviet Union. The following key problems are considered: the non-recognition of the Armenian genocide by Israel and the pendency of the problem with the restitution of the Jewish property.
