Abstract. The article considers some aspects of the poetics of the song genres of Orenburg Cossacks at the level of plot, composition and poetic symbolism. As the examples the songs are used, which were written within the territory of Orenburg province by F. N. Baranov, A. I. Myakutin, A. and V. Zheleznovs, N. M. Savel’eva and S. B. Plotnikova. In the process of the analysis of the poetical peculiarities of the song examples composition such notions as narration nature, the techniques and principles of internal organization and poetic symbolism were considered.
