LEGAL ISSUES ON JURISDICTION AND COGNIZANCE OF ADOPTION CASES

Abstract. The article reveals the content of the notions of the jurisdiction and cognizance of adoption cases, considers the possibility of referring the resolution of issues on adoption to the competence of executive power, and conducts the analysis of the provisions of civil procedural law governing the application of jurisdiction rules when applying for adoption. The author pays particular attention to determining gaps in the current legislation governing the institution of the jurisdiction of adoption cases and to revealing the ways of their resolution.
