Abstract. The article analyzes the musical stylistics of the wedding lamentations of the Siberian Mordvins-Erzya on the basis of archival sources. For the first time the paper makes an attempt to compare the local Siberian traditions of the Mordvinian settlers by the material of wedding lamentations. From the viewpoint of the correlation of song and lamentation forms in wedding ritual the Siberian materials are typologically integrated with the maternal Volga region tradition.
